It's funny how much God knows what we need. I needed the chance to slow down and be there for my family. To invest in these moments and to do the boring, everyday things with them. To help my mom recover from gallbladder surgery and a rare bone disorder.
Don't get me wrong as much I enjoyed being here part of me longed for the story I had hoped for. Where I moved home, found a job on the first try, moved into a cute apartment and continued on with life. Is that story too much to ask for? I prayed for it and I begged God for it. The more desperate I became I begged for anything to pay the bills.
But as I hit over 50 applications and 27 interviews I heard the Lord whisper in my heart - Be still. Not in being still of life and slowing down but being still in the panic. Being still in the worry. Being still in the hurt that would take over my heart and make me doubt the plans He had for me. So i was still.
And then a few weeks ago I got the call. I had a job- back in parks and recreation, an hour from home. He answered my prayers and then some. All the hopes and dreams I had stored deep in my heart were answered.
So tomorrow with a heart full of joy and thanks I return to work. ❤️
